Over the last 8 years, I’ve offered tarot readings at events of all shapes and sizes.  From reading cards at an exclusive night club in NYC to the candlelit kitchen of a cozy AirBnB, from a three-day business conference with 10,000 attendees to a giggly two hour bestie brunch, I treat each party with the same intentional magic and care - and always offer an unforgettable, intimate experience.

1. How do I know if tarot readings will be a welcome addition to my party?

At this point I can honestly say that tarot readings have been an excellent, fresh addition at every single event I’ve been invited to be a part of, and there have been many.  If you’re considering it, I bet it would work - and I’m more than happy to discuss your vision and questions to see how we could make it really special.

2. What will make tarot readings an exceptional

experience to offer my guests?

Tarot readings offer an experience that often continues unfolding far beyond the event itself. Sometimes the insight garnered in a reading provides an entirely new perspective that supports someone for years, even a lifetime.  Each guest can show up exactly as they are, no preparation needed, and can walk away with fresh inspiration, a deeper sense of possibility, an understanding of the way forward, and a stronger connection to their own power and intuition.  Readings can be both an existential and practical party favor!

 

They’re also a great conversation starter.  There’s always an electric excitement around the intrigue of the tarot table, and the buzz carries on through the rest of the party. It’s common for the few folks who are vehemently uninterested in a reading at the start of a party to be sitting with me at the end, their curiosity piqued and nerves brushed aside.  It’s just generally a lot of fun!

3. Can you ensure there won’t be any “scary” readings at my event?  Is tarot safe for a gathering like mine?

This is such an important question, because there is a lot of stigma around divination as a “supernatural” experience, or specifically a “scary” experience in media, film, etc. In short, it’s not uncommon for some people to have some nerves or fears around receiving a reading.

 

In regards to tarot being “safe,” the honest answer is that tarot, like all emergent experiences, is not something that is entirely controllable. As the reader, my role is to cultivate an intentional space and structure, both physically and with my spirit team, so I can deliver messages accurately and ethically.  I check in with each guest to make sure they feel comfortable entering the reading together, and honor any boundaries they may have around particular types of messages or spirit communication.

 

I also have a lens of possibility & upliftment in my work.  We are always in a place of co-creation with our lives, relationships, and experiences, and that is the place I operate from as a reader.  There simply will not be a scenario where I’m going to read cards at your wedding and share “doom and gloom” messages…unless you happened to be into that sort of thing, in which case I’d see what I could do to add a little tongue-in-cheek spooky flare (I’m looking at you, goth bride baddies).

 

It’s also worth mentioning that it is the responsibility of each individual to decide if they are in an appropriate place to receive a reading.  We’re human, and sometimes we are simply not in a healthy place to receive new perspectives or reflection without resistance, distortion, or worry.  And that is ok!  It’s important for all parties to honor their autonomy in a reading setting, just as it is anywhere else.

5. Where are you located? Do you travel?

Have tarot, will travel!  I'm currently located in Providence, RI, though I frequently travel across the New England area for parties and events. 6. How would you describe your readings?

Overall, I would describe my readings as supportive, warm, road-opening, and  - as I’ve been told - often eerily accurate.  I relate not just to the cards but to the world through a spiritual lens, and I am able to offer energetic and pragmatic guidance from that perspective.  I treasure being able to support people in reorienting themselves towards their visions and values, even if we only have five minutes to sit together. 

 

7. Do you offer virtual readings for parties, or are they in-person only?

I happily offer virtual readings for parties.  If that’s your vibe, whether due to distance, accessibility, or budget, I don’t believe any magic is lost in translation.  All that’s required is access to Zoom or a similar video chat program.

 

9. Can I schedule a consultation call before committing to booking you for my party?

10. What are the logistics of having you show up to offer readings at my party?  How can I best prepare?

While the occasional event may require additional preparation, 95% of the time the whole process is quick and easy.  I essentially show up like a modern mystic Mary Poppins, with my bag of cards and accoutrements, and I set up somewhere at your home or venue to give readings. All I need from you is a sitting area, which can be wherever it makes sense for you.
